Understanding your fertility, clearly
A calm, evidence-based first look at what may be affecting conception — so you understand where you stand before deciding on any next step.
No two fertility stories are the same. Some people need reassurance and a few tests; others need a deeper look. This first step is about understanding yours — clearly, and without assuming you need treatment you may not.
Fertility Assessment & Diagnosis
A structured first look at your fertility — reviewing your history, any previous results, and the factors that may be affecting conception, so you understand where you stand before any next step.
This may be relevant if
- You've been trying to conceive for 12 months — or 6 months if you're over 35
- You have irregular periods, a known gynaecological condition, or previous pelvic surgery
- A previous pregnancy ended in miscarriage or complications
- You simply want to understand your fertility before trying
What to expect
- An unhurried conversation about your medical, menstrual and lifestyle history
- Review of any prior investigations or imaging you already have
- Guidance on appropriate tests — hormone profiles, ultrasound, or semen analysis where relevant
- A clear written summary and recommended next steps
Men's Fertility & Reproductive Health
Male factors contribute to roughly half of fertility difficulties, yet are often overlooked. We assess sperm health, hormones, and reproductive concerns confidentially and without stigma.
This may be relevant if
- You and your partner have been trying to conceive without success
- You have concerns about sperm count or motility, or a previous abnormal semen analysis
- You've noticed changes in libido, erectile function, or testicular discomfort
- You have a history of infection, injury, or undescended testes
What to expect
- A confidential discussion of your history and concerns
- Semen analysis and hormone testing where appropriate
- Assessment of lifestyle and other modifiable factors
- A clear explanation of results and options, including referral if needed
Cycle, Hormonal & Ovulation Concerns
Irregular cycles and hormonal imbalances can affect both fertility and wellbeing. We assess ovulation, hormone levels, and conditions such as PCOS or thyroid dysfunction.
This may be relevant if
- Your periods are irregular, absent, or unusually heavy
- You have signs that may suggest PCOS — irregular cycles, acne, or excess hair growth
- You suspect a thyroid or other hormonal imbalance
- You're unsure whether, or when, you're ovulating
What to expect
- Review of your cycle history and symptoms
- Targeted hormone testing and pelvic ultrasound where indicated
- Assessment for PCOS, thyroid, and ovulation disorders
- A plan to address findings — lifestyle, monitoring, or treatment as appropriate
Investigations are recommended only when they're likely to help — never as routine.
